IC: LA/SoCal Regional Spring Meet, March 22, 2014

I've got the date saved!  I'd prefer the meet be in LA pretty much entirely out of self-interest, but Long Beach could be another option and also has an airport.

Official Los Angeles Regional Summer Meet - Saturday, July 20, 2013 Warner Center Marriott, Woodland Hills

I'm signing up late as hell, but I'll be there with what relevant gear I have.  Namely an iBasso D6 and AKG K701's.  See you all tomorrow!

Mini Meet LA locals Intrest thread Between April 20th and Mid-May.

I'd be interested, but I'm not particularly knowledgeable yet, nor do I have a bunch of gear, so I can't contribute much to a meet.  I'd imagine we'd lose people to Coachella this weekend, to Cinco De Mayo on 5/5, and to Mother's Day on 5/12, so those should probably be avoided.

Interest Thread LA meet 2013 2 Day meet . "International Headphone Extravaganza" First Annual

I'd definitely be interested in attending.  I don't have much equipment to bring, but I want to listen and learn.  I'd strongly prefer something in LA proper to Anaheim.

    headphone carrying case?

Has anyone here had any experience with the V-Audio bag sold by Vilaibhan on ebay?  His feedback seems pretty good, and the price is nice.     link

more power than the UHA-4 for K701s

The D6 is on its way to me, so I'll be able to offer my impressions (such as they are) soon enough.  I like how we're carrying out this conversation over several different threads.

    Leckerton Audio Slimline UHA-4

@estreeter   If I had known then what I know now, I might not have bought the K701's, but I do love them.  Soundstage and a clean sound were my top requirements, and I felt like nothing else I listened to came close to the K701 in terms of soundstage.  Perhaps I missed something, but oh...

    Leckerton Audio Slimline UHA-4

Quote: I've been going through the D6 thread page by page, but it's slow going.    As for the UHA-4, I've been continuing to listen on K701's, and I'm finding a lot of distortion with fuller sounds when I push the UHA-4 to its max.  It's very noticeable in Delorean's "Stay Close"...

    Leckerton Audio Slimline UHA-4

Quote: You're just trying to encourage me to pull the trigger so I can be a guinea pig, aren't you?     You may have succeeded.  I still haven't been able to find a full-on review for the D6, though.  Have you ever found one?

    Leckerton Audio Slimline UHA-4

Quote: I'm pretty close to ordering a D6 to compare with the UHA-4 I just got.  I LOVE the SQ of the UHA-4, but I'm trying to find something portable and fairly inexpensive to drive K701s at least a bit better than the unamped source.  The UHA-4 makes a slight difference, and definitely...

    iBasso D1 + K701 + Flac = $500 = Aural Ecstasy

Resurrecting a very old thread here, but you seem enthusiastic about this combo and knowledgeable.  Is there any chance you've tried the D6 and know how it compares to the D1?  Presumably, it'd be an improvement, but that's not how these things always go…

TTVJ Slim vs. Headstage Arrow 12HE

Quote: What does it mean if you say the 701's "clipped out?"  I'm not prepared to spend the money for a Toucan or SR71 quite yet, so I've been looking at the iBasso D6.  It says it outputs 650 mW in to 32 Ω on each channel, but first, does that actually mean anything, and second, any...
