    Given my super short time with them at CanFest, I think described them perfectly. At first I wasn't overly impressed, but with time I could definitely see the appeal.     For those of you who have Lyr 2s, what are your thoughts on that amp? Is there anything better for around the $500 price point?

    I would suggest that if anyone is using a service like Spotify, that they use the download feature and grab all the files they may want to have available for offline access. That way they can have their Spotify tunes ready for a listen without needing the WiFi.

    @Mshenay I would just be borrowing the Sundara. You're correct, they are not quite in the same league as the MX4s. They're still really good though for the money.

    Yes! They sounds great through the little Vali. I also setup Audeze's Reveal plugin with Roon, and that really brings them to life.

    I don't really have a good frame of reference. I had only heard the LCD-2. I think it has fairly thick sound though, and everything sounds very smooth, even off of a laptop. I've been impressed with it so far.

    I haven't heard the 4, but it does sound like a slightly cleaner version of the 2. The bass and tone is very much inline with what I remember from LCD-2. Thankfully it doesn't squeeze my head like that thing did. It doesn't feel near as heavy. Remarkably though, it sounds like a true Audeze, and...

    So, the MX4s came in, and they're the strangest Audeze headphones I've tried. They're really apart from the rest of the LCD line.
