In the ""Early Days" it was also possible to buy in Europe(by some exclusive record shops)Japanese records on vinyl and that was also a much better sound and the vinyl was thicker

You can buy a book, Classical Music for Dummies, with that you got a CD and there is a very good explination on how to start and how to listen to classical music. Hope this help
