    Wireless Headphones?

I am looking for wireless headphones up to $1000 max and the two things I care for is sound quality and comfort. Bonus if it can connect to my PC with low latency. I am going to be using them at home while moving around a bit, and I just don't like wires, so I don't care about ANC...

How much better is the Fidelio X2 from the Sony MDR-1A?

Thanks. I am not a gamer and where I live it is not very noisy* nor there are any people around when I use the headphones. * There is still some noise from the air-condition and the fans of my computer (which can get somewhat loud sometimes), would that be a problem for the X2?

How much better is the Fidelio X2 from the Sony MDR-1A?

Hello, 2 years ago I was thinking to buy the X2, but I didn't due to the price. I recently bought the Sony MDR-1A and I am quite happy with the results. Now the X2 is on offer (€140) and I am trying to decide if I should get it. Is the X2 significantly better from the MDR-1A?

Would a <€100 USB DAC improve sound quality?

Thanks! It is not so much about the hiss (it doesn't really bother me, it can be heard only when there is no music) but about the sound quality in general. I read that the E10K goes into some "semi-mute" state when there is no sound which is why hiss is eliminated. I also get more than enough...

Would a <€100 USB DAC improve sound quality?

Hello, I usually listen to music using Spotify on my phone, but occasionally I connect my headphones (Sony MDR-1A) on my PC, because it can drive my headphones better (louder, music seems to be bunchier). I am happy with the sound I get from my computer (uses on-board sound of this...

iTunes vs the world! (AAC quality?)

For me, convenience and comfort far outweigh any minuscule (at most) differences in sound quality.   I've done the abx test online with my equipment and when I couldn't tell the difference after 2 minutes it was clear to me that even if there was a tiny difference, it wasn't one that would...

    How is this possible?

I am member here since 2013 and I've made 80 posts so far. And yet I can still not post a new thread without it first being approved by a Mod.   How come then and every so often this forum gets filled with spam by spammers who just joined?

Urgent: Should I buy the Sony MDR-1A for €99

I wanted to buy something new and the MDR-1A was in my shortlist so I placed a price tracker on them to notify me when there will be a deal. I did the same for 2-3 other headphones / IEMs which I had on my shortlist. However meanwhile I ordered the Fiio EX1 (which I am going to receive tomorrow)...

Urgent: Should I buy the Sony MDR-1A for €99

It is hard to know if it is what I want without trying them. For example I got the CAL! because they receive very good reviews for their price, but I wasn't blown away. In fact I often prefer the sound of my MEE Runaway Bluetooth headphones ($30), which are also much more comfortable to wear and...

Urgent: Should I buy the Sony MDR-1A for €99

Average seems to be about €110-€130 for used at Amazon EU stores. More in US Amazon store.   Here the asking price is also over €100: http://www.head-fi.org/t/838676/fs-sony-mdr1adac-b-headphones http://www.head-fi.org/t/834703/sony-mdr-1a...

Urgent: Should I buy the Sony MDR-1A for €99

Seems like the time of the Lightning deal was changed to 10 hours from now... so we still have some time for suggestions! Especially if there is anybody who can compare the MDR-1A with the CAL!.   The Silver model will also be on a deal along with the black, so if I end up buying them the...
