The pic was taken at Subtonic’s counter at Can Jam … if it’s fake it has to be a genuine fake.- osocan

I have not come across that many hate comments but those I encountered have never been able to point to a specific aspect of the Trifecta that cannot be forgiven. I do hear a upper-mid honk but this is only when I switched immediately from a very balanced monitor, and it doesn’t really detract...- osocan

I really don’t know what the guys at Acoustune were thinking. Or perhaps it’s just a few of us, those of us who have to learn that there is a very specific way of just inserting the monitors into the ear. Not the usual insert and twist. That’s how it’s with the HS2000MX for me. When inserted...- osocan

I believe you already have a rough idea how the Trifecta would sound. It is bright and it is bassy. Personally I have not encountered sibilance and I just love the bass. Others have described the bass as speaker-like and I agree. Lately the WM1ZM2 has become my favourite DAP, especially with...- osocan

I have the N30LE and an RS8 as well. I don’t have the AP IEM. Neither have I heard it. Based on the N30LE + Mentor pairing, I can imagine and understand why ppl rave about the N30 AP combo. On the RS8, this is where the combo with Mentor did not do well. Mentor’s mids become muddy. As far...- osocan

WM1ZM2 + Mentor combo gives the most humongous soundstage I have ever heard. But if I were to be looking for an IEM to pair with the Gold Brick it would be the Trifecta. YMMV- osocan

Agree with you on both Fei Wan and V16 Divinity. Fei Wan is above my price point. V16, that’s one of my 3 under $2k.- osocan

A man owns the Xe6 and has heard the Trifecta. May I enquire how they compare? One day, I would love to hear the Xe6. But right now I’m kept happy by my Trifecta.- osocan

I’d think so too … perhaps a better word I should use is “revealing”. Or retrieval of details.- osocan

FWIW I never found Anni bass boomy. If anything, I found it bass light. Also, I didn’t find it that resolving but I was comparing it to the Trailli … so it’s not exactly a fair comparison. But given the 2 I would choose the Anni over the Trailli but that’s just me. YMMV- osocan
