I know this information might be in this thread somewhere and I searched around without finding anything but is there a difference between the SZ1000/2000's that say "Z Series" and "Live Beat" on the cups?

Didn't know you use a Micro iDSD as well, it's a great little amp. Watched your SZ2000/Micro iDSD paper test video, amazing.

I wonder how the D2000 would fare considering it's supposed to be less refined than their bigger brothers. Then again, I hear that the D5000 has more bass than the D2000 overall so it probably wouldn't matter much.

Not saying the CD5004 is the last word when it comes to driving the HD650 but it certainly is adequate and a lot better than I was expecting. Haven't had a chance to hear the CD6000SE or PM6004 so I cannot comment on those.

My HD650s and CD5004 sound so good together I'm actually going to put the purchase of a headphone amp on the back burner for awhile and use the money to put towards a new lens instead. Really surprised at how well the HD650s sound out of the Marantz, wasn't expecting that at all.

Just took delivery on them today (Amazon was a little slow on the shipping) but these sound amazing, better than I remember. These look like the newer version, came in the new box and they have a small hologram on the right driver, I don't remember that being there before. The ones I owned...

A lot of people enjoy the Bottlehead Crack with the HD650s, that's probably the way I'm gonna go.

Have you tried the RS1i's? From what I've read in the past it seems the original RS1's were more aggressive and hot compared to the RS1i's.
