Thanks for the tips guys, I will have a look into some of the headband mods. I currently use the velour pads but find they don't fit that well with my glasses, they are rather thick framed however.

A combination of weight (heavy wise) and just general shape of the cups, I wear glasses so that could be the problem.

Reading what other people have said a basic amp is perfectly okay to push them to an easily audible volume but they do scale up quite well with bigger and better desktop setups.

From what I had read about the stock pleather I didn't even bother giving them a run with those on first haha. I literally opened the box and changed the pads right away.

Just ordered a pair of HE-400's, don't think my current Asus Xonar DG will be good enough to power them to their potential. Currently looking at the FiiO e10k, would you guys think that they would pair well together? Can't really afford much more at the current time.

Yeah that's where I saw them, I have purchased something from them before and didn't have a problem, if that helps at all.

Looking to finally take the plunge and get a pair of K712s as can currently get them for 300 in AUS, which trust me is a massive saving here. As I will need a DAC/AMP do you think a Fiio e17 will be good enough for them? Going to have them plugged into my pc for gaming and music ect.
