I need IEM recabling / repair help
I've been out of the headphone game for a while now. Mostly because of my priorities shifting towards college and also I had found my perfect combo. (Beyer COP and TDK BA200). Sadly my IEMs had a freak accident with an angle grinder last week. I know, I know, I'm a terrible, reckless fool for...- notyetknown

V moda lp vs lp2
If you have a smaller head you can try the AKG K81. They sound amazing with dubstep (didn't try them with much else) Sadly they were very small for my head, I think I'm a size 7 3/8 for reference. And for portability you can contact someone like Mad Max, and have them short cabled. All this will...- notyetknown

Guy Movies? Rank and Compare
Quote: Yeah that's pretty much what I was going for pigmode. Rambo is the iconic guy's movie for violence alone but I would always enjoy a well developed plot over rapid fire machine guns. The deeper the story line goes the more it'll feel like a thriller but i think a great guy...- notyetknown

Guy Movies? Rank and Compare
That's fine. I'm interested to hear which movies you guys think are better? I never thought of Fight Club as the greatest ever, but let me know if you think otherwise. I see our martin is turning this thread into a one stop theatre.- notyetknown

Guy Movies? Rank and Compare
Quote: Sorry if that upset you ^. Appearantly 300 isn't as popular with the head-fi crowd as it is in my graphics design class. And I completely agree with your second paragraph, Guy movies aren't typically what I'd resort to if I was looking for fantastic filmography. But I know...- notyetknown

Guy Movies? Rank and Compare
our martin, I did enjoy seeing The Outsiders as a follow up on reading the book, but I can't really relate to a movie that's supposed to be more relatable. Sorry, but to me it just seems dated and can't effectively stack up against modern big budget blockbusters that appeal to teenagers like...- notyetknown

Guy Movies? Rank and Compare
Ok maybe I could've worded my self better, but for 300 I mean that it's an actual part of history i.e. Sparta and Persia. I know there wasn't magicians and giants or most of the stylized dialogue (in english) but that's only hollywood fantasy and IMO can be expected from todays motion...- notyetknown

Guy Movies? Rank and Compare
So I tend to have random discussions in my head a lot, and the topic of last night's dialogue was an internal debate of which was the better guy movie? Fight Club or 300 Just looking at it from the typical "guy's" point of view and primarily considering action sequences -aka Fight Scenes, and...- notyetknown

Pictures Of Your Portable Rig (part XV)
Quote: Concerning the Exodus, I enjoy the SQ and plentiful lower end but admit these could use some sparkle, however the comfort of the phones (on my large head) is a bit painful but for the most part worth the complements from classmates. When listening at home, I often remove my...- notyetknown

Ultrasone, Audio Technica, Phiaton or V-Moda?
Thanks for the suggestions. I checked out the Pioneers and I really like em. the reason I'm leaning toward these is because of this http://www.head-fi.org/t/567012/the-portable-bass-kings-the-pioneer-hdj500-vs-akg-518-le-vs-the-first-look-at-the-new-at-ws55-solid-bass (bigger bass) and for the...- notyetknown

Ultrasone, Audio Technica, Phiaton or V-Moda?
This is my first thread and I come in search of help. I've been looking for some good portable headphones for the past couple of months and have made remarkably little progress. I need a bass-heavy pair of phones Under $200 (max) unamped that will fit a Large head. My music preferences...- notyetknown
