I didn't realise how cheap the Hdv820 was used. I just ordered one for £1000. After selling my mojo 2 and poly it's pretty much covered! I really wonder how it's going to sound in comparison to the mojo 2

I've seen a few posts about people having a DAC into amp setup with the HD800S I'm curious what amps you would recommend in the £400-1000 price range and also how big a difference this makes since I thought one of the points of the mojo2 was for it's amplification?

It might be bad luck and I don't mean it in a way where I'm generalising and saying they're all bad units. I made sure to state the fact that they're solid units and the audio is great. If JVC now provide warranty for these devices in the USA then that totally invalidates my point in the USA...

Honestly since the low gain maximum volume setting on the Leckerton unit is basically a preamp I think you'll be okay. The same setting is perfect for plugging headphones into as well. Trust me once you listen to that setup on your speakers you'll be glad you gave it a shot!

Yup! I've tried on a Rolex Datejust with a fluted bezel for example which is also a really beautiful watch but I have to say I enjoy the minimal aspect of the Carrera a lot more. For example I can wear it to work without having to worry about it being too flashy and it simply looks great!
