Verum Audio - Exciting high performance DIY planar

Yeah i think it's great that the pads are so easy to swap, but after going back and forth alot in a few days i came to the conclusion that although the perforated pads sound more natural they kinda suck the life out of music compared to the original pads.

Being nice to costumers is just a way to make more money, but i completely agree with your statement

LZ A6/A6 mini discussion and review thread

:) i also recieved the lz a6 from EE Audio yesterday. 188 euro, and from my short impressions these are amazing. I did use spinfits because the original tips weren't as good. I'm fine with the cable and the fit is actually suprisingly nice in my smallish ears.

    RME ADI-2 DAC Thread

Interesting that you mentioned the reference 9, because someone offered a reference 10 to me for around the same money of the adi-2. Would you think the dac of the reference 9 is comparable to the adi-2 and how about the headphone out?

    RME ADI-2 DAC Thread

I am intersted in the adi-2 dac, but i am in doubt between this and the audio gd 28.38 or r28. Anyone have listened to both of them? Or is there another dac/amp i should be wary about? (I listen to both headphones and active speakers equally) Thanks in advance for any suggestions

You're saying i can't use the RME with my subwoofer? (Speakers connected via xlr and sub with rca)

No but in my testing with the loxjie p20 it doesn't like tubes.

I used the brainwavz angled sheepskin pads on the verum and although comfortable and even improving the sound a little. I actually advice against angled pads. This because it made the verum feel heavier.

    Focal Clear headphones

The focal clear bass is great in quality, but not so much in quantity. Although the clears bass can really change with the use of different amps. For example i once tried the clears on an integrated denon amp and the bass was crazY (litteraly like a sub strapped on my head)

Yes, same. And this is especially true for the Utopia.

    Focal Clear headphones

Wait for a sale by a reputable dealer and buy one! After that buy a cover for the headband in the same color (this is what i did: Look up pure wool headband for headphones)

    Focal Clear headphones

I dunno why you should not pick the ananda. It's great for it's price and combined with a tube i think it is relaxing. The one other option i could suggest would be the LCD 2C, dark and relaxing.

    Focal Clear headphones

You don't have to change your amp the chord mojo is great. You're looking for an upgrade in sound. Well.. That's a though one. The LCD 2 i wouldn't say is an upgrade to the ebony, but more a different sound signature. It's laid back, planar, super dark and super relaxing, euphoric some even call...

    Focal Clear headphones

Those 2 headphones are completely different though. But if you're looking for versatility you can't go better then the Clear. The LCD2C is more relaxed and does some genres better then others.
