Bit of a noobish question, i'm sure! I'm working on a three channel beta22 at the moment, using all the standard component values from the site (gain 8). If I want to use it as a preamp too, is it as simple as having a switch to choose between the headphone output and output phono sockets?

Looking at the wall wart, it seems it's just a transformer and puts out AC... this is getting confusing

According to the bottom of the turntable, it's a Debut II, and it does have a wallwart power supply.

The stylus of my ortofon 05E has broken, so I figure it's time for an upgrade. My budget would stretch to a Grado gold, but would this cartridge be too much for the debut? Any other cartridges that would go better with the turntable?

Thanks for the reply I looked at the data sheet for the link you posted, and it doesn't seem to be quite the same thing. Looks like that one is more of a surge protector than a filter. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what the filters do!
