Is there a newsletter or society for people who believe that headphone amplifiers are largely redundant scam products?
Lately there have been a number of articles and documentaries reporting on the amazing effects which result with the use of Placebos in treating a variety of medical conditions. Amazing the power of the human mind- NiceCans

Making my wired IEM's wireless
Question for the OP, did you try this device? How did it work for you? Can either of you comment on the performance? I am looking to use my cans as wireless and so far this seems the only option, I'm just concerned about sound quality with such a device.- NiceCans

So what the heck do protable amps do?
That's really subjective, and solely up to the individual's ears. Some claim to hear a large difference, others hear little or none. Personally I am of the no amp for portable camp.- NiceCans

So what the heck do protable amps do?
Wait, you don't know what it does but have been considering buying one for a while now? Do you have money you need to get rid of, or just feel compelled to make an audio purchase? What will it do? . . . . weight down your pocket and lighten your wallet. After that YMMV, but it is...- NiceCans

K701 replacement ear pads and AKG's lack of customer service
Actually, I do blame AKG. I owned their K240 Sextet since 1974 and replaced ear pads, headband, etc all with parts purchased directly from AKG for a headphone that was 30+ years old. I had the same experience with Sennheiser and purchased the necessary replacements for an old HD540. So why...- NiceCans

K701 replacement ear pads and AKG's lack of customer service
In July 2012 I contacted AKG / Harmon regarding replacement ear pads for my K701 and was told they were unavailable at that time. In May 2013 I again requested these ear pads and was told they were still unavailable but that I would be contacted when they became available. It is now Oct...- NiceCans

First Audiophile Headphones (under $100): Grado SR60i Best Choice?
Grado's can be bright to many folks, but with flat or comfy pads it is smoother . . . some people merely consider them crisp or lively. Once the pads are broken in (or washed for softness) Grado's can be pretty comfortable, but bending the headband outward to loosen them increases comfort...- NiceCans

Why do people think paying a lot for headphones makes no sense but paying a lot for a phone, laptop or anything else does?
"Why do people . . . . " Because we are all individuals and we all have our little quirks and priorities. For some headphones are not all that important while other things are.- NiceCans

FLAC convertor?
if you go to the FLAC site on SoundForge (http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html) on the Downloads page you can get the FLAC encoder/decoder and any of an assortment of 'Front-Ends' for Windows or Mac. This will cover your conversions to/from FLAC, now, do you have a Ripper to get the...- NiceCans

Tragedy !! my MAD EAR+ kill my RS-1
wow, that's rotten luck. It would be worthwhile contacting Grado regarding a repair. They are usually quite reasonable. You'll likely be getting that Ear+ checked out too I imagine.- NiceCans

FLAC file questions?
The on-board sound should be adequate and get you listening, and it will work with Foobar, J River Media Center, Media Monkey, etc. There should also be controls in your system for the Beats Audio, where you can adjust or eliminate enhancements. Suggest you use WASAPI, ASIO, or Direct...- NiceCans
