Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
Actually the first EarMax came out in 1994. My AE version came out in 2004 to celebrate the 10th anniversary, it was produced in 75 samples, 25 each for Europe, America and Asia. I later sold it when i went balanced with a RudiStor quad mono amp that I had until I bought the Sony TA 6 years ago- nc8000

Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
Nope, I got my AE 17 years ago so I guess the first ones must be around 20 years old- nc8000

I don’t know but my guess would be that search works on the library so will only be able to find within the 50.000 tracks that the library knows about- nc8000

Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
That brings back memories. My first dedicated headphone rig was the Earmax AE with AudioTechnica L3000 about 15 years ago. Source was Jungson CD2 with Nordost Valhalla cables- nc8000

Sony NW-A50 Series
These on eBay and I’m sure others make them , most likely som on AliExpress. But why not just use a simple 3.5 to 3.5 cable from the headphone out ?- nc8000

Sony Linkbuds S Impressions Thread
The LinkBuds is considerable smaller than the XM4. Sound wise the XM4 has a much fuller sound with more pronounced bass while the LinkBuds is leaner/more neutral. I like both- nc8000

I suspect it has to do with the (as I understand it) fairly low powered/performance cpu used and perhaps size of ram- nc8000

The Continuation Of The Sony Walkman 1Z/1A Thread!
That one can’t connect to the TA. I think what he wants is a cable with the special TA charging micro usb one end and usb-c the other end so you can connect a usb-c device to the side port of the TA- nc8000

I’ve got 3 Sony daps that I love but want to try an alternative approach abd the 2 card slots would be great as my library is too big to fit on one. I have mailed Hiby asking about the track limit to the library as I have around 90.000 tracks in my full library- nc8000

Either use the full Sony dock or there is a WMport to standard usb adaptor if you can find it (can’t remember the model name)- nc8000

SONY IER-Z1R
Yes on the stock cable, but the discussion was about the majority of third party replacement cables using standard mmcx connectors where the cable connector dissapers down into the recessed socket on the Z1R- nc8000
