Fostex T60RP
The intermittent cable connection is still there with the OEM orange cable. Also some bass rattle if you run a tone generator but didn't notice it during regular listening. That plagues all of fostex's t40/50/60 models but it varies unit to unit- natto lover

Modhouse Audio Argon - T50RP MK2/3 & T60RP
Looking at mine, single-ended normal listening level is at gain 2 with the volume knob at 12:00. So still plenty of headroom- natto lover

nooooooo, you don't want to wash the diaphragm either, as it will damage or remove the anti-static coating. Same reason you don't want to expose them to excess humidity- natto lover

remember that thread, he actually just cleaned the dust cover. pretty surprising he didn't destroy it. It is not easy to clean the driver at all (unless you know what you're doing of course)- natto lover

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
audeze has the bass but less detail (aside from lcd4 models). I'm all for stax but they're hard to recommend going into going blind, and the bass is...different. maybe the Auteur? not sure what your budget range is but they're pretty neutral with a slightly warm tilt. plenty of detailed treble too- natto lover

maybe, think more that he isn't blown away by every new toy on the market. I agree with most of his impressions on that specific post though- natto lover

Beyerdynamic DT 150: Bloody Brilliant!
well that's false about the e10k, look up measurements if you want. I would link but I don't remember which sites are/aren't banned not saying a good chain can't have small improvements on the sound, but it doesn't make sense to upgrade before you haven't even heard them. they were designed as...- natto lover
