Eletech Cables Official Impressions & Discussions Thread

Well I’ve had the opposite experience. 64’s stock cables are some of the worst I’ve come across - not only that, but the A18S comes with their pro cable, not the premium one. imo both the fortitude and the prudence would offer a considerable upgrade

In terms of raw quantity, I'd say it's moderately behind that of the LX - not by a huge margin either way. They're both quite bassy, but the LX definitely has a more bass-focused signature. The Thummim has a fair bit more mids, and a lot more treble than the LX though. Where I found the LX to be...

I agree - you could also both be looking for new gear and not feeling like you’re missing anything with your current setup(s) I love the hobby, and I love the gear arguably more than I love the music itself. It’s a question of whether you’re looking for something to listen to music with, or...

RAZ's review thread and TOTL IEM shootout

Well with a rather massive delay (apologies for which), let's look at a couple of TOTL sources that I've used over the past year or so. Now, where IEMs are concerned, I do feel like that obscene price tags such as 3 or 4000$ are more "justified" if I may use that word than in the case of...

I'm not exaggerating, I'm just making the point that it's way too subjective a hobby to be able to apply your experience with the Zeus XR to everyone that's ever been interested in audio. The way you feel like the Zeus gets you 90% of the current market's TOTLs, someone else feels like his 50$...

Vision Ears and Rhines Custom Monitors (formerly Compact Monitors)

The bass in the Ely is probably the most responsive part of its FR where cable rolling is concerned. I've also rolled quite a few cables on it and for the most part I use either the Eletech Plato or Iliad with it

The past days have been mad busy so I didn't have time to give the Erl time in the spotlight and it had to make-do with a comparison post. However, considering we're discussing the one and only Elf King, it's only fair it receives its own session of initial impressions! (Just FYI, I bought an...

    Campfire Audio Ara

Aight so the time for me to share some preliminary impression of the Ara has finally come! Now, before you light me on fire for my criticism, I have to say that I think this is an awesome IEM, and I would recommend it at its price point, as well as any price point. The reason why I purchased it...

I’ll write up some impressions with photos by tonight, I know it’s been anticipated :) it’s a really good IEM though if you gotta decide whether to buy it in the next few hours :D

The reason I was holding on to it was the slow bass decay and insane treble, but the Thummim covers both of these points along with a much more forward midrange. I also got the Ara and used the funds from the Z1R to pay for that :)

It’s becoming a bit of a family trait by this point, the Thummim flushed me out pretty bad already :D
