Walnut V3 dac amp with balanced output
In settings there is a shuffle mode. I only have 32GB and 64GB cards. Mine played around 8 hours after the first charge. I am currently no longer using this player until the new firmware fixes the popping and freezing issues. I am not liking having my mp3 files put into one long file for each...- MusicaMan

Walnut V3 dac amp with balanced output
Thank you - I will try putting it on its side. I get around the 'popping' by combining my mp3s into one long file for each album so it plays all the way through with only the initial pop when the album starts. I get around the UI freezing by not spending too long navigating through folders, once...- MusicaMan

Walnut V3 dac amp with balanced output
Thanks for your help - I will do that tonight. I find this player has excellent sound quality (I have VBR 320 mp3s, no flac or other lossless files) with no hiss or other noise at all during the songs, but it has many issues (heats up, UI freezes and needs to be turned off and on again, tiny...- MusicaMan

Just listened to some Fostex T50RPs today... WOW!
I know what you mean - when I first heard the DT 990 Pros I didn't like them - a lot of bass. After a few listens they are now my favorite headphone. I love the sound stage and the bass doesn't bleed into or obscure the mids. Listening to a CD back to back with those and the T50RP I have to say...- MusicaMan

Just listened to some Fostex T50RPs today... WOW!
I ordered them two weeks ago from Long & McQuade in Canada - you can order them online or in store. They say shipping is 10 - 12 business days. I have been reading this thread 30 min a night ever since I ordered them. The website they have for Canada is super up to date. I saw they had one...- MusicaMan

I listened some of Roger Waters' Amused to Death, and the voices sound incredible, but the rest of the sound is like a cheap headphone - it just sounds off - but I see why people like these now - very natural sounding vocals - they are burning in now.- MusicaMan

Just listened to some Fostex T50RPs today... WOW!
I have read from page 1 to page 131 in this thread. My T50RPs came today. Can someone who has done a modded/non-modded comparison tell me if the difference is as great as people say? I need to know if I should return them - I am more disapointed than I thought Id be.- MusicaMan

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
Hello, I would like to take advantage of other peoples knowledge. I have upgraded from Sennheiser 218 to the Shure 440, and finally this week to the Beyerdynamic TD 990 Pro. My question is would the AKG 240 Mk II (which is the same price for me here in my corner of Canada $179) be an upgrade...- MusicaMan

Does having tinnitus mean no more headphones?
Sorry the Arlo reference is completely lost on me (Alro Guthrie?). He was a nice Dr, we chatted about headphones and music. It was the most interesting doctors visit I've had (good and bad - he also told me I have some significant hearing loss in my left ear that was permanent).- MusicaMan

Does having tinnitus mean no more headphones?
Just to echo what has been said - the Tinnitus expert I had to wait 5 weeks to see told me that it's perfectly fine to keep using headphones but to keep the volume way down. He said isolating IEMs or closed cans are best so that you do not have to turn the volume up as as much because there is a...- MusicaMan

Shure SRH440 Questions [delete please, moved]
Maybe try posting the same question in one of the other equipment forums here (source components or computer audio)? My Shure 440s do not have a very large SS, so I'm not sure if they are ideal for gaming or not, but the SQ is very good.- MusicaMan
