HiBy W5 --> Now the W3 Bluetooth Receiver is Here with Better Buttons

The BTR3 is very good - I bought one after the fiasco that was the W5. Fair play to HiBy for offering a decent discount to those of us who purchased the W5... It's tempting, but I'm not sure I can justify purchasing one in addition to the FiiO. However, if the offer runs for long enough after...

HiBy W5 --> Now the W3 Bluetooth Receiver is Here with Better Buttons

Yes, it might have been prudent to wait for some genuine reviews first, but I can't help but feel duped by all the reviews out there beforehand raving about this product (albeit possibly a pre-production variant). I rarely by anything witout research, and the conclusion I've come to is that...

HiBy W5 --> Now the W3 Bluetooth Receiver is Here with Better Buttons

It would be nice if they offered a significant discount for those of us who invested in the W5. (Mine was long since replaced with a FiiO BTR3, which looks somewhat similar to the W3.) This looks to have a lot more potential - but I can't see myself jumping the gun on another HiBy product.

HiBy W5 --> Now the W3 Bluetooth Receiver is Here with Better Buttons

I completely agree... My W5 is back in its box, and has not been used for weeks. UAT simply isn't viable, and even LDAC connection reliability is poor in comparison to other Bluetooth devices. I did send an email to HiBy support, but got a somewhat dismissive response. I followed up commenting...

HiBy W5 --> Now the W3 Bluetooth Receiver is Here with Better Buttons

Thanks for the update - I updated the app this morning. Whilst I've not yet had a chance to extensively test it yet, I did give UAT a quick go and even with WiFi off, the Bluetooth range was extremely poor. I'm still struggling to get a stutter-free connection even with the device just a few...

HiBy W5 --> Now the W3 Bluetooth Receiver is Here with Better Buttons

I'm reassured I'm not alone with this issue, but do wonder why the pre-production reviews never reported this. I'll give it a few days to see how it really performs and post an update in due course.

HiBy W5 --> Now the W3 Bluetooth Receiver is Here with Better Buttons

I'm almost as frustrated with the fact it's very difficult to pick the damn thing up without it turning itself on all the time!

HiBy W5 --> Now the W3 Bluetooth Receiver is Here with Better Buttons

First post here, as I too have one of these now, and wanted to discuss my experience so far. I'm using this with a Pixel 2 Android phone. (I've upgraded to the V1.00 firmware.) Firstly, audio quality is great. LDAC works well, and although officially we can't use UAT (yet) there's a copy of the...
