I second this. My GR07 bass edition sounds great with any genre, from hip hop to classical to modern jazz, just great performance in all situations. One of the channels is beginning to give out so I may have to look into recabling them.

You may be right about the burn in. I just received my MA750 a few days ago and am not very impressed at all. Does anyone have any experience with either of these two in-ears? My beloved GR07BE is starting to die so I'm looking for a replacement.

+1 for the GR07 Bass editions. Not only do they sound excellent at all frequencies, but they are also very durable and well built.

Would these be any sort of upgrade in terms of sound quality from the GR07 Bass Edition?

Honestly often when I'm listening to my RE0 I can't believe that these ONLY cost $100. At $79, lets just say its the head-fi deal of the year.

Not quite sure of the ergonomics of the westone UM2, but if I was purchasing in your price range, that is definately what I would get.

I have the RE0 and they have a very clear high definition sound, but as TStarn stated do lack, the bass is there and extends well, but feels like a tap on your shoulders in your ears. I will purchase the S4 from best buy and take advantage of their return policy so I can see how S4 and RE0...

I would be interested as well is hearing how the OK3 compares to the PK3. I only have the PK3, and compared to the RE2 and RE0, the PK3 is bassier (very nice controlled impact), more open sounding, and more vibrant sounding. Things really pop out at you with these. I was thinking of returning...
