I stumbled onto this thread and read it from beginning to end, then ordered a full Schiit stack sight unseen (Saga, Mani, Bifrost MB, Vidar, Loki). About to upgrade to Freya S! Edit: I have upgraded Vidar to Aegir.

Really?? To me that sounds like a good reason to avoid Audio Valve. It displays an arrogance that only they are qualified to select tubes for their amps, and also a potential indication that they haven't spent much thought time and investment to ensuring that their amps are safe and sound good...

I think it will be incredibly dependent on your loudspeakers efficiency and whether it wakes up with low power. I do feel it is a little underpowered for me, but I have Lores in a big room and definitely not nearfield.
