AKG K3003 High End 3 Way System Headphone
Still enjoy mine Ibasso DX200 amp 5 or AK 70mk2 also sometimes run them from my SPL Phonitor 2 or Microzotl desktop amps. I use Final Audio tips with mine which give me a good seal.- mongeddavid

The Stax SR-507 Thread
Similar yes. The 507s seem a little more defined perhaps a touch colder. Backing vocals that i could hear with the 407 but sounded a tad muffled sometimes seem clearer. Bass is more controlled on the 507s. Im not sure the percentage difference in price is entirely justified on sonic grounds...- mongeddavid

The Stax SR-507 Thread
I have the original normal bias Lambdas and they do have their merits over the 507 in my view. They are leaner in presentation with the bass and midrange being lightweight compared to the 507 but with this brings an even more transparent presentation. It seems to suit instrumental/classical ...- mongeddavid

Ive not had the 650s but had the 595s and yes a very comfortable headphone indeed. I find the STAX are similar , very light weight ( although the 507 is heavier than my other Lambdas ). My ears fit inside the pads and dont touch at all. I like the fit and feel of the real leather pads I find...- mongeddavid

The Stax SR-507 Thread
Ive just got a pair of new 507s and I am wondering about burning in. Dynamic drivers form experience require it but is this the same with new Stax Phones. They sound very good as is with only about five hours on them and I have read comments some saying they improve some saying they will not...- mongeddavid

Grado Fan Club!
I was the same i ended up with 5 pairs at one point which is a small collection compared to some and yes its nice to be able to switch between them however you are looking at a sizeable cash sum being tied up in equipment that hardly gets used and in my case i felt it better to slim down the...- mongeddavid

The Stax Thread III
Also if anyone has done a direct comparison between the 407 and 507 that would be interesting. Id like to get the 507s however as i have a pair of 407s that are not 100% i could use them as spares should the need arise and thus the 407 would make more sense. I Have tried the original Lambda ear...- mongeddavid
