SASH Deux & Tres; impressive planars from Ukraine
Right said, and I would also consider that there are so many cables' producers that It could be an unecessary further competition. So it's a wise choice not to enter that arena.- Mojo65

Anyone else get under-ear/jaw/parotid gland discomfort/pain with over-ear headphones?
No, you are not the only one,,,it recently happened to me with a couple of BT models I use at work for calls (a Philips series 9000 and another JBL that I do not remember).. It never happened to me before, with every over ear hps that I own I never felt any discomfort regardless the weight. But...- Mojo65

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
Hi, yes those are Tres 16 ohm version. I ordered the full set, including the semi-open cups that still lie in their box.... I consider the stock open version so balanced that I never felt the urge to try the cups so as far; as I am concerned probably those are not needed or essential. Personal...- Mojo65

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
As far as I am concerned I disagree..my Ebony X00 is now 4 years old and is in pristine conditions and working flawlessly. Honestly I really think it's very well built (and sounds wonderful 😁)- Mojo65

CD player
Hi, out of the three you mention I can suggest the Pioneer. However, if you could stretch your budget a bit you can look for a Rotel CD 11 tribute, a very nice budget player that could be the corner stone of a nice budget system. But for this you need a headphones amp or to use the output of...- Mojo65

MrSpeakers Ether CX - $899 from Massdrop
Hi, I received mine last week as well and I have mixed feelings as well... Bass is shy so to say but it is not really missing. Nevertheless, it does not have the right slam when is needed. For the time being I let it "burn in", it's only 6 hours, then I will judge it properly. But it does a lot...- Mojo65

SASH Deux & Tres; impressive planars from Ukraine
I am following the thread and I will check Sash website front time to time for novelty but the Tres original version is so balanced and musical that I cannot figure out how the "improvements" of the 45ohm or the SE could really improve the pleasure of listening with the og... 🤔 Are we sure that...- Mojo65

Moondrop VENUS Planar (and PARA): two surprisingly good orthodynamic headphones at a still reasonable price. Moondrop COSMO Planar: New Flagship.
You are tempting me... Shostakovich is by far my favorite composer, and that cycle of Haitink's recordings is the one that made me know and appreciate Shostakovich's music :)- Mojo65

Does anyone know how Venus performs with classical music? Symphonic genre to be more specific.- Mojo65

When do you go from 'enthusiast' or collector to 'hoarder'
I would like an open dynamic especially for Classical Music, precisely Symphonic . Therefore it should have wide soundstage, tonal accuracy, no harshness or blurred mid-bass/bass. I know I am asking a lot but I am in no hurry - Mojo65
