    Question about Fixup.net Ety replacement cord

    You just order the cord and it shows up in the mail. You have to be a bit careful with the pins when pulling them apart, but it is really pretty easy to swap out the old cable for the new one. And once you try the new one you will wonder why Etymotic didn't use this type of design to begin with...

    ER-4S and Tangent AMP

    TSK - you must get the fixup.net replacement cable! I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. I am still amazed at how much better it makes the Ety's comfort-wise. There must be some Ety engineers scratching there heads right now, thinking "Why didn't we think of this?". I posted my review...

    repair etymotics

    Well, I just replaced my entire cord with one from fixup.net. If your cord is bad, then this would definately be the best solution. BTW - the cord itself is 100 times better then the stock one. You will be amazed. At the very least you can try pulling out and inserting your connecters to the...

    Ety ER4 fixup.net replacement cord review

    You won't want to be changing the cables too often, since it does require a fair amount of force to get them loose. One of mine came out fairly easily and the other one was quite a bit tougher. If I decide to turn my P's into S's, I think I will just get a go-between convertor cable since the...

    Ety ER4 fixup.net replacement cord review

    Yes, it is flexible enough. You don't really need to wrap it up over your ear, though, since it is so light that you don't really feel any tugging even when it is behind you. The only issue with this might be the cable length, but an extension would certainly take care of that.

    Ety ER4 fixup.net replacement cord review

    I just got some Etymotic ER4-P’s a few weeks ago from Headroom.com. While they sound fantastic, they also left me sitting dead still for fear of moving the cord and creating the notorious cord noise. Plus, the fact that the original cord was pretty heavy and stiff was always leaving my ears...

    JMT secret handshake?

    Where is JMT? I've dropped him a couple of messages over the last week with no response. Everyone keeps raving about his nice little amps, but I can't seem to get any love from him. Is there a secret handshake or club that I need to join before I can get in line for one of his hand-built gems...

    Sony D-840 - Any experience?

    I have the d-838K (also an older Car Discman - I don't know how this compareds with the 840) and really like the sound. Compared to the Panasonic 570 that I just got, it is a bit warmer with more bass. I actually prefer it to the 570 for the most part, though the 570 does seem to be slightly...

    ER4-P + Panasonic SL-CT570 == thin sound?

    Thanks, guys! This is all great information. Interesting that you didn't like the D-25s so much, cajunchrist, since everyone seems to be talking about them as if they were some sort of holy grail. Seems like a battle to see who can have the oldest, most out-dated CDP that somehow just makes...

    ER4-P + Panasonic SL-CT570 == thin sound?

    Hi all - I have just spent the last couple of days reading TONS of threads regarding my new Ety's, amps, players, etc... Lots of info here, and now I am just looking for someone's personal experience. I just got my Ety's a week ago & love them! So much interesting stuff to hear that I've...
