Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H6 Discussion Thread

I love these headphones. Awesome soundstage and comfort for closed headphones. I found that they sounded significantly better and clearer amped with my soloist. Like in your review, they sound similar to my HD800, though obviously way less clear.

    Schiit Bifrost Uber Analog Upgrade

Hi all, I just got a Schiit bifrost uber. I also have a Burson soloist. I think I may have gotten the AC adapters mixed up. Can you guys tells me if on the Bifrost there is a white tag that says 10A at the outlet to the Bifrost unit?

Found some vintage headphones.. Pleasantly surprising results.

This is incredible. I want to know more. Maybe you can loan a pair of hd650s to compare?

    E17 won't turn on

Quote: My E17 is now bricked. If you buy it be very careful. Fiio uses it's own adapter and it is possible to stick it in backwards without much resistance.  By "bricked" I mean I can't get it to turn on. If I plug in power an LED lights up, and my computer actually recognizes it when...

    E17 won't turn on

I had this happen today to mine. If you put the L7 on backwards (which is easy enough to do if you don't carefully look at the connector), the battery breaks.

    Audeze LCD-2 "Vegan" Earpads - feedback, installation & mini-review

Quote: Ya you should really try it.. It's a different experience altogether. And honestly, for pure musicality I think it's superior. The vegans make them much better for passive listening / work though.    (These comments are about the lcd3, i don't have lcd2s)

    Audeze LCD-2 "Vegan" Earpads - feedback, installation & mini-review

Quote: I think you actually might be right about clarity in the upper range. i think it might be because the slightly more laid back sound gives the music a bit more room to breathe.  I was trying to follow the piano in Beethoven's Kreutzer III finale presto and I found the notes got a...

    Audeze LCD-2 "Vegan" Earpads - feedback, installation & mini-review

I ended up putting them back on my LCD3s. I can't listen to them for too long with the stock leather pads. I just find they get too hot to be comfortable.  It DOES slightly affect the sound. Normally the LCDs sound sort of like you are right there with the performer. This moves you to front...

    Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-3

Does anyone know any amps for ~$1000 that have a crossfeed filter and would work well with the lcd3s? I don't know too much about crossfeed but it sounds like an interesting feature.

    Audeze LCD-2 "Vegan" Earpads - feedback, installation & mini-review

Quote: Agree I tried vegan for awhile with LCD3 but I eventually changed it back.  I could hear a significant difference in audio quality. The loss of the seal gave a veil to my headphones. I ended up fiddling with my amp / dac for awhile before realizing that it was the vegans that had...

    New Audeze LCD3

Quote: Audeze is truly remarkable and I love their sound.  When they make their closed cans I'm gonna pick them up for sure!   I recently got the Vegan ear pads for my LCD3s and I'm loving them. No more heat.

    New Audeze LCD3

I got the velour pads for my LCD3. I find it much more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. Doesn't get hot / uncomfortable anymore where the leather touched the skin.    Sound stage seems a little bigger, at the expense of a little bit of a more laid back sound. (really slightly)...

    New Audeze LCD3

What do you guys use as a headphone stand? I have the Woo Audio HPS-R, but it digs into the headband leather significantly because the angle of the stand is different than the angle of the haedband.

    New Audeze LCD3

Quote: That is very interesting. Maybe it's because the magnets push / pull the diaphragm so there's more control over the material, such that it strains a bit (burn in) but then doesn't get further fatigued because there isn't additional elastic / plastic deformation. Additionally, in...
