Looks like you're out $100. had a slight issue with the left connector being a bit loose, but a bit of time with a hair dryer fixed that. Only real downsides, stock case was now too small, and the beefy nature of the plug meant that I couldn't plug it into my iPhone 4S while it was in the case...

I couldn't get a good fit with the Atrios but I do enjoy my Hippo VB quite a bit. $80 from jaben and I got a free pair of Hippo Pearls on top of that.

First off, try some other tips for a better seal. It make sa huge difference in any IEM   Significantly more bass than a 535 is easy, achieving those low frequencies while maintaining overall sound quality is going to be much harder to find. If all you wanted was bass, I'd say just get some...

I own an iPhone 4s and the IE80 with stock cable (for now). I listen to rap/hip hop/R&B/dubstep/electronica. No classical. I have no problem driving the IE80s with the iPhone 4s. Very little hiss if any. I can hear music with good detail with one "volume up" press from no volume.    ...

Ok after some more listening I'm going to cave and give up. The Oval Klipsch tips help, but the fit is just a skosh loose. Not worth it when I have better fitting alternatives. Will probably gift it to someone with smaller ear canals than me.

Got the Klipsch Large single flange tips. They're better than the stock stuff, but still kinda meh. The seal isn't excellent anymore like the large foams but at least it feels like I can wear them for more than 10 minutes at a time. If anyone in this thread wants any of the stock FS Atrios tips...

Anyone have suggestions for IE80 replacement cable or if it's even necessary? I'm pretty happy with the sound now. Can I buy replacement cable designed for the IE8s or should I just wait it out?

+1 on the IE80s. I own both the Atrios and the IE80s. One note on the IE80s, the fit is SUPER important, took me 3 days to nail it down.   Quote:

Ok after 3 days of fiddling with tips I think I've cracked it for my own case. Double flange, barely pushing in creates a seal and FINALLY the bass I've been looking for. Pushing in any deeper causes a major loss of sub bass and mid bass. I'm quite happy with these now. Still contemplating some...
