    Sennheiser HD518 HD558 HD598 HD559 HD589 HD579 HD599 Support Thread

Hello everyone, I just got my HD598's a few days ago. I'm impressed by the soundscape, they are great for gaming. The bass lacks impact but is well defined. I find them pretty boring for most music, but extremely clear. I listen to a lot of trance, so they were pretty underwhelming for me. Keep...

Somewhat disappointed by the HD 598's

I don't know, I heard heaps of negative comments about soundcards, apparently they don't make any difference. Although DAC's have been widely recommended.

I just ordered a fiio e07k, will this be enough?

Well, I don't think I said it wasn't 'punchy', but it lucked impact. Actually, I did say it lacked punch, but not in the way you're talking about. Thanks, I'm thinking of ordering the e07k today.     I'll try it out. You said 'pumped' through them, so I'm guessing at a higher volume?

Somewhat disappointed by the HD 598's

I got them the other day, and the bass definitely had no impact. The bass is there, and well defined, but like I said it didn't have any punch, that's probably due to the open design, though I was expecting at least a decent amount of bass. The headphones will probably take a little while to...

A noob needs some help and suggestions for soundcards to supplement my HD598's

Hello, I'm new here, this is my first post, and I know barely anything about soundcards and computer audio. I've had pretty cruddy headphones for a while, never really bothered getting any good audio equipment. So I've had pretty average audio equipment for the entire time I've been using my...
