Azure, my advice would be just to return the thing; There's no reason to be forced to use the amp with an equalizer to enjoy it. Yeah it's cheap, but money is money. Don't let that stop you from returning the amplifier

That's quite saddening to hear actually because I've been saving up for months for the exact (well, near exact combo) that you got. Maybe this was the post I needed to keep me from the headroom amp line (even though the micro was wonderful.)

Make sure to ask how much the darth beyers actually isolate, because I know that there have been several members in this forum that have bought closed earcups for their senns looking for isolation and then complained about the lack of isolation that these brought them.
