Any recommendations on a good basis for a high frequency shelf? One from 6khz or 10khz? Would we benefit from having more Taps on the filter, or would the drawbacks outweigh this? Since all headphones vary over 6khz, which is your favourite, most natural headphone whilst using the filters?

Depends on what dac you have as some dacs have poor dsd implementation. I think the best results come from discrete dsd dacs that can do DSD512+ and also what modulator/filters you're using on hqplayer. The best ones need very powerful pc's. I eq more than 10 band so use hqplayer's internal...

I think most of us are converting pcm to dsd via hqplayer (eg 48khz 16 bit to 49mhz 1 bit). Hqplayer can stream qobuz directly or used as a roon backend which can stream qobuz.

It paira with susvara amazingly well. It's not a bright dac but very revealing at the top, I just add 3-4 db in the bass and it fill out the sus.

Dac200 DSD out is 4.4v and may is 2.9v so that should be taken into consideration when comparing dsd. Pcm may is 5.8v and dac200 is 5v. Considering hqplayer needs you to set - 3dbfs the 2.9v can be quite limiting if you have very hard to drive headphones or a weak amp for some songs.

At 100 percent without preamp it would be 2.9v and with preamp it would be 5.8v

Oh I only had -3, I completely forgot holo dacs need - 6 since I only recently got the spring. If that's the case then the 2.9v out will struggle even more. I'll report back what this means for the preamp output adjusted for this.

No rca, the spring 3 without preamp and the may output 2.9v xlr on dsd and 5.8v with pcm. The spring with pre amp can go higher than 2.9v, double that in fact

4.1v spring 3 kte (preamp) dsd out vs 2.9v may kte dsd out. Only had macbook m1 so was limited to DSD256 on the T+A dac200 and the DSD512 was glitching on the spring3 so also used DSD256 there. Only may worked with DSD512. On dsd the he1 becomes ear speaker like, sound stage expands incredibly...

I tried this twice but got the same "an error has occurred. The internal error description is: initialize: update devices -> 0xEE000060" error and a black driver panel, as soon as I copy back the old files it works instantly. Is there something else I'm missing?
