    Woo Audio WA-8

It's a great match for a Diana V2 for sure. I've never tried a WA7 3rd gen so I can't offer an opinion about that. I've not tried an IEM with the WA8 either, but I can try and report back later.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Probably can't. I owned the Diana Phi so so so long ago that I don't even remember what it sounds like anymore

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I got my new Diana MR headphones from Abyss recently so I thought I should emerge from my hibernation cave again and post my impression. First, if someone asks me to post a one-sentence summary about Diana MR, what should I say? Glad you asked. Summary If you want a pair of headphones that...

    Woo Audio WA-8

I have a WA33 as my other tube amp so it's not a fair comparison :) WA8 is really good if: - You travel - You wanna bring something that sounds amazing to work and trigger envy in co-workers - You want to listen to great music on a sofa / bed

    Woo Audio WA-8

I'm a regular customer of Woo Audio so I just asked Jack Wu for a demo unit :) You can also email Woo but I'd imagine they'd ask for a deposit for, you know, safeguard

    Woo Audio WA-8

I got a WA8 on loan this week as well. It's an amazing DAC/amp that compares very well with other desktop-class amp despite its small footprint. Has enough juice to drive the power hungry Abyss Diana TC, something even the Sony DMP Z1 can't do well. The Diana TC sounds very good with the WA8...

    Woo's New Flagship WA33

I For my part, I've had the Taks 274B with my WA33 (and then the Elite) since ... at least 2016 and nothing has ever happened to it. What a mystery.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

The Diana TC is not a good match for the DMP. It doesn't really have enough juice, so the sound is rather thin and anemic.

    Woo Audio WA23.....

The PSVANE ACME 2A3 tubes have a bright signature, so if your headphones are already revealing, it may be too much to listen to. I plugged them into my WA33 a long time ago and preferred the WR2A3. The best thing you can get for a Woo tube amp is the Takatsuki 2A3 tubes, which has a warm...

    Woo's New Flagship WA33

I have the Takatsuki 2A3 tubes. I wrote up my impression of them vs my old tubes in this post in the Diana thread. The 2A3 are very good and play especially well with Abyss headphones. Like the Takatsuki 274B rectifier, the 2A3 tubes are mids-centric, ultra smooth, and warm and lush, with plenty...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I got a bunch of new toys lately ... so thought about writing up my impressions for them altogether. The new toys are (in order of acquisition) dCS LINA DAC Abyss Headphones Diana TC (It's the one to the left in the middle photo. The one to its right is my other favorite headphones, Diana v2)...

    Woo's New Flagship WA33

The WE417A tubes and adapters from Woo Audio do wonderful things to my WA33 Elite and Abyss Phi TC headphones as well. I used to have the old upgrade driver tubes, the Electroharmonix gold pins. I got the tubes and adapter at the end of August, when Jack Wu reached out to me and offered me a...
