Anyone still using this recorder? I'd never tried the AK recorder app before so am trying it now.. .. however, I can't get it to see the device. AK connect is enabled etc. Does anyone have any tips?

If you can read those technically incorrect comments without being logged in and not being able to respond.. without it causing great frustration, then why not simply count to 10 before wanting to reply when actively logged in? Or type your response out and then close the tab - without posting...

My experience of Gold to Pro 2HD was minimal sonically but slightly more comfortable (and cheaper). I see the Pro 2HD pop up on ebay UK often enough if one is dedicated in looking for some.

A lovely poetical image. Mine however, sits there next to my hifi just feeling part of the audio family, but retired and enjoying time to relax. I would use it more if the battery would last between uses! For me, it needing to be charged *before* every use (or some strict charging regime)...

Hi all - are there many on this thread who have experience in trying to fix a 240 themselves, i.e. not sending to iRiver ? I bought one to fix (cost £120 or so) as a gamble purchase. It doesn't turn on, I have now changed the battery hoping it was just that... Are there any tricks or advice...

I upgraded from my AK120ii to a 320 and greatly enjoyed the improvement - to a more detailed sound from the warmer 120ii and which I guess will be the sig of the 240 also? When going back and forth after getting the 320, I came to feel the 120ii was sounding slower and more muddy in comparison...

I don't know about locally! I think any replacement be shipped from china originally. I found some on AliEXpress but haven't yet purchased one (it would appear I didn't complete the purchase! I thought I had ... so I will have to now wait longer ). I think it was going to cost just £13 plus...

Multiple driver iems have all sorts of hurdles to over-come to smoothly integrate those drivers together so they sound as one whole; cross-overs, phase differences... With single driver iems, and dynamic drivers in particular, I guess it's about finding a good driver as much as anything and...

Remember that the Pro 2HD is now sold out and discontinued! You'll have to buy secondhand. Their twitter account said their sale was the last chance to buy them... and now they're sold out. Not sure what Flare Audio are doing next - they wouldn't say when i asked. Perhaps demand has been slow...

Has anyone replaced their AK240 battery recently? I'm looking for a replacement but not sure where is a good source (there don't seem to be ones on ebay any more, if they were reliable).

There are really cheap secondhand on ebay! Although I've never checked US ebay... Some in the UK for £50 Buy it Now. Mine are on long-term loan and my R2Pros broke a few months ago (the cable/plug issue that others else had but I avoided for a few years) .
