Little Dot MK VI / Little Dot MK VIII SE Owners Unite
Oh dear...$6k...Well, at least, we can rule out me getting the best of the HD650s then! lol But, yeah, I definitely noticed the HD650 scales up pretty well. IMO it's a world class HP. It's got all the details and nuances in the others, just not showing it off, and as in your face about it...- Loko-Pillo

Thanks for that! I'll check it out now...is it as good sounding, you think? And if anyone has experience with the HD650 on those as well, please share.- Loko-Pillo

Little Dot MK VI / Little Dot MK VIII SE Owners Unite
Did anyone try any of those 2 amps with HD650? I read almost the whole thread now and there was sparring mention of the headphone, but no impressions at all. I'm really tempted to get one of them, (leaning toward the VI+, for some reason, though the VIII-SE is supposed to better with the...- Loko-Pillo

DAC/Soundcard Question
Quote: Lol, well yeah, I mean a music files (FLAC, usually) with 24/192 sample rate. It's actually solved now, I think it was something to do with Foobar2000 player. I uninstalled it, and reinstalled it ... and now all the music is working fine. Thanks! On a separate note, I...- Loko-Pillo

DAC/Soundcard Question
Quote: Aha ... yeah, that's true! You'd think that would be obvious, not to me! lol I actually was asking this question because I had a problem with my new computer: I always used a MacBook Pro, and the music was working fine with it, a bit thin for my...- Loko-Pillo

DAC/Soundcard Question
Thanks for that fast and helpful reply, PurpleAngel! I am connected through USB, but it's to an S/PDIF converter (Audiophilleo2) ... that should bypasses the Soundcard also, right?- Loko-Pillo

DAC/Soundcard Question
This has probably been discussed before, but I couldn't find it. My question is, if I have an external DAC ... does the computer sound card not matter AT ALL? I can just buy the cheapest, worst, card?...or does it have SOME effect?- Loko-Pillo

Q Cable Impressions Thread
Quote: The Red is just totally groovy! And with your equipment is a totally justified WOW! Yes! That's very true concerning the actual cable. I was so caught up in my surprise concerning the sound that I didn't go into that much. Very comfy! I didn't actually...- Loko-Pillo

Q Cable Impressions Thread
I just received French Silk Q-cable for my LCD-2 Rev.2 today. I wanted to wait a few days before I wrote my opinion here, but I honestly couldn't wait. I LOVE IT! It is my first taste of 3rd party cables, and I wasn't sure if there would be a difference from all the anti-cable talk around...- Loko-Pillo

Schiit Gungnir DAC
I'm sure this is a very silly question. But, where the hell is the optical output on the macbook pro!? Is it the headphone out?- Loko-Pillo

Schiit Gungnir DAC
Quote: Yeah! I get that too. Not so often, but it does happen (maybe in extended listening sessions, not sure). The sound gets quite weird with lots of distortion, quite disturbing. lol So it's only the USB connection then? Also, I have to add from reading...- Loko-Pillo
