CIEM Connection Retermination Help!
Hey guys, I have an old whiplash twag v2 that had one of its connection pins broken off. I think certain places may do retermination but after a morning of searching on head-fi and elsewhere I haven't found much. Just wondering if anyone has had any past experience with retermination or...- lipidsnake

Cowon J3 vs. Ipod Touch 4g
i wouldnt say there is that much difference between the 4g and j3. you might as well stick to the j3 so you can upgrade by getting LOD and amp later, one of the advantages of apple players is the ability to have high quality output through the dock- lipidsnake

best player for the Westone 4???
decent players like the j3, x7 and ipod classic all work well. the W4s dont really need an expensive player with an overkill chip to sound great- lipidsnake

Best Music Player For PC
Quote: JPLAY is definately the best sounding out of those, but it still does not justify the high price. i would recommend foobar or atomicplayer. simple, decent features, decent SQ and free- lipidsnake

Looking for and "audiophile" USB cable
USB is digital, the quality of the cable does not matter unless its so bad it registers 0s as 1s instead. Even if the quality isn't great theres no way the computer will have difficulty distinguishing between the two simple signals. Its the actually analog cable from your device to your...- lipidsnake

new IEM (mostly) for metal: TF10? UM2? others?
to be honest i've never really had any fit issues with the TF10s and in my opinion they are quite different to SM2s. They are not as detailed and analytical but they are more pleasant to listen to (for me at least). As for audio player there really isnt a huge difference between the Cowon and...- lipidsnake

Samsung Galaxy SII In-Ear Monitors
i have an S1 and an iphone4 and honestly, the S1 sounds better with my TF10s. I dont really get why they would downgrade the chip on the S2 especialy when theyre making a series of portable players based on the galaxy phone- lipidsnake

Shure SE535 Special Edition
Quote: at that price range it all comes down to personal preference. my personal favourites would be the SM3 for its overall balance and analytical feel as well as the TF10s, just so fun to listen to with that harsh treble and nice bass extension- lipidsnake

LCD2 sound but without the LCD2 discomfort
there really isnt much that compares to the sound of the LCD-2s. Are you using the rev 1 or the newer rev 2 because rev 2 is slightly lighter and the headband has more padding- lipidsnake

What are the top recommendations for gym phones up to $100-150 these days?
I can imagine the MEElectornics M6P would be nice for gym use. They have an over ear design and comes with multi flange tips so i reckon they should not fall out very easily during running. You can find them here for $35...- lipidsnake

How to wear Super fi. 5 pros
Quote: I completely agree. Having all 3 earphones infront of me right now, i know from experience that only the TF10 actually has hearable benefits from amp. (especially when used outside). Make sure you get good seal out of your tips, for the EB and the Pro i woudl never recommend using...- lipidsnake

Need help please!
For that range, the Sennheisers should come out on top for sound quality and portability. However, you should try it and feel if the clamping force is too much for your head. else both the ultrasones are quite nice too- lipidsnake
