I have two PFE's (the girlfried actually has one of those) and agree with the review. Very nice. I've checked all three filters against various music. One observation: some of the more 'out there' John Coltrane solos can make you wince on any IEM...the green filters make them easier on the ears...

I picked up some MEElectonics M6 for my girlfriend recently (Woot!) and have to say that they  really make Jazz recordings from the late 50's - to late 60's (Coltrane, Mingus, etc) ...some of the poorer recordings sound much more enjoyable than the headphones I generally use that cost 5 times...

Ummm...correct me if I am wrong, but is there a truly stable version yet? The last I read people kept having all kinds of issues with rockboxing it. I have an 8GB Clip and 2 4BG Clip+'s and I'd like to try rockboxing one.

I've been researching these here since I saw the Woot earlier. You will find some threads if you search. Essentially the same as the 390. The 490 was their first headphone.
