I think some pop are actually good, can't think that way about hiphop and all it's subgenre. I even tried what they call True rap and underground hiphop stuff. nothing appeals.

The pinnacle of musicality in guitar is in Robert Fripp and Frank Zappa. Wanky axe shredders like batio and malmsteen are just clowns in comparison.

King Crimson's "The world's my oyster soup kitchen floor wax museum" is better in Heavy Construkction live album than in the studio.   Actually a lot of King Crimson tunes are better live.
