haveblue,   thank you so much for posting this thread, I was originally in two mind when I was recently demoing the HD800 and Fostex TH900, I found the 900's to be closer to what I was looking for as the default sound was what I preferred coming off various amps and sources from a friends...

The seller who I bought my unit from happens to be good friends with a Hi-Fi store owner, apparently the stands are not for sale and are used for distributors to display the units only but he managed to get hold of one. I am not 100% sure but I never seen it for sale either so I guess its true...

  Just got mine, heard some people having problems with this DAC but so far very impressed, barely burnt in but loving the upgrade from my Audio-gd Compass.

Hi Elu, I feel for you, but tbh I think everyone on this thread went through the same thing. Nice setup your got there, I also tried the Zero and MKIII, its head-fi bug hehe. Save up and get the HD800's
