Norne Audio (Was: Norse Audio): Feedback & Impression Thread
Sorry but I don’t have the knowledge to answer that question. I only communicated my different experiences with plating of different material. Maybe somebody more knowledgeable could chime in.- Lappy27

Norne Audio (Was: Norse Audio): Feedback & Impression Thread
In my experience with numerous power cables connecters, AC wall outlet and headphones, interconnect cables, the plating used has a very significant impact on the sound. It certainly the case with Furutech. I have Furutech GTX-D gold, Rhodium and Rhodium NCF outlets. All sound different. My...- Lappy27

No problem. Good for you. Thanks for your answer. I'm not sure I will sell it anyway. It's sounding really good with the used Denon AH-D9200 I just received today. Waiting for a Norne Drausk v2 Lite to compare. Enjoy music.- Lappy27

Meze Audio 109 Pro
Agreed. I listen louder than average for sure and for the 109, My FiiO M11 Plus is plenty enough from his 4.4 output. Volume between 90-100 on 120 on High gain. I had the Focal Utopia on pretty decent and powerful desktop system (Bryston dac and Audio gd HE-9 headamp) and also on a powerful...- Lappy27

Norne Audio (Was: Norse Audio): Feedback & Impression Thread
Thank you very much for the detailed comparison. The Drausk v2 Lite seems the right choice then for the Meze 109. Enjoy your Utopia. They are fabulous sounding headphones. I had them for about 5 years and a half with different gears. Natural and effortless sound. I sold them to finance a...- Lappy27

Norne Audio (Was: Norse Audio): Feedback & Impression Thread
I just ordered the new 2023 Drausk Lite v2. I owned original Utopia with Draug Silver with great results. Both are now sold. I now owned Meze 109. Waiting for the Drausk Lite v2 for these. How would you, from memory, compare the new Drausk Lite v2 to the Draug Silver sound wise? Thanks.- Lappy27

Meze Audio 109 Pro
No not me but some skilled DIY could try with good results I have no doubt. It’s certainly common for speakers internal wiring. Neither I have control over power plant wiring to my house. But from my electric panel to my ears, I have some options to help the end result. Starting with a good...- Lappy27

Meze Audio 109 Pro
Same experience here. Not only, with headphones cables, but all cables and everything responsible for carrying any form of signal. Starting with controlling vibrations of electric path. Because at the end, what you hear is electricity. Simple as that. Better material, bigger gauge, better...- Lappy27

Meze Audio 109 Pro
No problem. I wanted the Premium copper for the 109 Pro as it was more suited for his sound signature than the Premium silver-plated but at the Montreal Audio Fest show last week, the rep cannot find the Premium copper and make me listened to the silver-plated on the spot. It was much better...- Lappy27

Meze Audio 109 Pro
Not sure why you mentioned IEM as we are obviously talking about the 109 Pro. Anyway, Artic is selling the Aegis 20 AWG OCC copper Litz, Magnus 18 AWG and Apeiron 15.5 AWG of the same material. Norne is selling the Drausk V2 Lite at 19 AWG of OCC copper Litz cable.- Lappy27

Meze Audio 109 Pro
Thanks. The Meze Premium cables are well made no doubt but I find it rather thin regarding quantity of copper used. As far as I know, they don’t disclose the AWG of their cables but my guess is they would be between 24-26. I’m looking for 18 to 20 AWG OCC copper Litz cables. That will inevitably...- Lappy27

Norne Audio (Was: Norse Audio): Feedback & Impression Thread
Hi all, I am a former user of Norne cables. First the Draug 3 copper (if I remember well, it' longtime ago) and at two different occasions, Draug Silver with Utopia. Great results as you can expected. The Utopia are now sold couple months back from to unfrequent usage and financing other audio...- Lappy27
