Best Headphones Recommendations (Currently interested in Beyerdynamics dt660)
I'd say HD600/650, DT880/990 regular/pro, K7XX/701/702/etc., and HE400/HE400i/400S are all on the same level despite having different prices. It depends on your taste. If you prefer warm headphones, Beyerdynamic cans wouldn't be a good choice. The other ones are all pretty warm. AKG cans...- kupuna

Best Headphones Recommendations (Currently interested in Beyerdynamics dt660)
In my personal opinion, JDS Labs C5D is your best option at this price range. It has excellent measurements and no obvious weakness. If you want to use it with an iPhone you'd need a USB camera adapter and a USB to mini USB adapter. Something like this: C5D + Connectors would cost...- kupuna

Best Headphones Recommendations (Currently interested in Beyerdynamics dt660)
I'd say if your environment allows you to use open-back headphones, go for them. Closed cans generally don't sound as good with a few exceptions. Consider the fact that your sources (iphone/laptop) are not really up to snuff, I think you have three options: 1. $500 dollar low-demanding...- kupuna

Looking for over ear under $200
I'm not sure whether you want something bass-heavy or something balanced. If you're trying to find something that's relatively balanced with a little bit more bass, and you don't own an amp, I don't think there's a better option than ATH-M50X in your price range.- kupuna

I am looking for the best closed back headphone with great soundstage, clarity details.
I second DT150. The best soundstage I've heard from a closed can. Well balanced sound with powerful bass. Isolation is good, but not great though.- kupuna

Looking for over ear under $200
Tyll @ InnerFidelity recommends Sony MDR-XB500. I'd say 770 is not bass heavy at all. It's just its closed-back nature makes its bass sounds a bit more emphasized. Plus, if you choose the 770 250 ohm version, you'd have to get an amplifier.- kupuna

Need recommendations for wireless noise-cancelers
I purchased a pair of Golzer BANC-50 from amazon. They cost less than 100 dollars, so I decided to give it a shot. I immediately returned them after I saw them in real life: poor build quality, and EXTREMELY small earpads. They are listed as "Over-ear" headphones, but in reality they are even...- kupuna

Need recommendations for wireless noise-cancelers
IEMs always hurt my ears, especially when I fly. If I wanted anything remotely related to wires at all, I'd go with QC25. It's really painful to sit on an airplane for 13 hours and every time you get up to go to the bathroom there are wires in your way. As stated before, Zik's poor...- kupuna

Need recommendations for wireless noise-cancelers
I'd definitely choose Bose QC25 if it were wireless. Too bad it's not. Those Bluetooth transmitters have to be charged separately and often only last for 6~8 hours, which means they are pretty much useless to me. Zik's battery only lasts for about 6 hours... Not even as good as MM550X to me...- kupuna

Need recommendations for wireless noise-cancelers
Hi all, I constantly travel around countries, and noise-cancelers work much better than normal closed-back headphones in airplanes. I'm currently using the Sennheiser MM550X. It sounds decent, and cancels noises fairly well. However, its earpads are just too small for my ears, and its...- kupuna
