Naim DAC
It would be a good idea to track down a dealer who can demo both units for you as Linn and Naim have a very differnet house sound. The opinion seems to be polarised. I prefer a Naim digital source as I find Linn digital to be too laid back. YMMV. Naim NDS sound wonderful in friend' rig...- kuma

Naim DAC
Still yet to be released in the wild. I have heard a proto type and sounded good using a bare X2-2 and HDX. ( with and without 555PS ) Haven't played around with it but got the feeling that it had a different presentation from their CD players.- kuma

Oh dear. Does the Uniti have a digital input? I am leery of All-in-One type of unit ( for one thing I would think it's noisy ) but at least it should retain the Naim voicing.- kuma

Just to get a taste of a Naim DAC, you can try a DAC that's in the SuperNait. Altho, I assume a stand alone unit would be even better considering the price. I preferred it over the Lavry DA10. ( playing HDX ripped files via an HDX )- kuma

A NAP 300 is a dual mono inside, IIRC. So you get ch1. ch2. XLR for each channel.- kuma
