It would be a good idea to track down a dealer who can demo both units for you as Linn and Naim have a very differnet house sound. The opinion seems to be polarised.   I prefer a Naim digital source as I find Linn digital to be too laid back. YMMV.   Naim NDS sound wonderful in friend' rig...

    Naim DAC

Still yet to be released in the wild. I have heard a proto type and sounded good using a bare X2-2 and HDX. ( with and without 555PS ) Haven't played around with it but got the feeling that it had a different presentation from their CD players.

I think a NAHA powered by Supercap is above a bare Super Nait. I am still hoping Naim will produce a reference level headfone amp a la SuperLine.

Does it have the same voltage rail required to power a NAHA? ( 18v or 24v )

Zu versions are supposed to be way better than the stock as well. ( this one is much heavier than stock needing a heavy counter weight on an ARO ) It would be nice to find an economical version of the Miyabi, but so far I found none.

Did the mass of the 103 stay the same? I've tried both 103 and 103R on the ARO but could not get them going. I figured that they might be happier with a heavier arm. Which phono?

An unusual oak plinth? Which cartridge do you use with your new-ish ARO?

ztsen, I use it to drive either Grado or AT W5000. As far as the PSU goes, I found it depends on the cans. I'm perfectly fine with a NAPSC with the AT fones but prefer it with a HiCap with the Grado RS1. Interestingly I've heard a bigger improvement on a AT W5K over the Grados when I...
