BRISBANE, AUST - THE DIGITAL LOSSLESS GATHERING part 0.1 (an IC)
'Lo All. Been a while since I have visited Head-Fi. Just doing an interest check to see if anyone would be keen on a meet in Brisbane with a focus on Lossless music and other high end musical sources and recordings. I wouldn't go as far to say that no MP3's are permitted at this meet -...- KrooLism

Need personal advice from fellow head-fiers.
If it's been a while since I've been opinionated on head-fi, it's definitely been a looong while since asking for the professional advice of the head-fi massive. I'm in the market for a new PMP. Last three contenders for me is the Q5W, Cowon A3 or the Archos 704. Top three in terms of...- KrooLism

AKG K-701's. The best all rounder.
Mmmm - that head band is now seriously p*ssing me off. I'm doing the ball stretch at night when I go to sleep. (I put my headphone around a football to stretch it out). I really do hope it softens up. On another side note - "all rounder" for me also includes price. I got mine new for...- KrooLism

AKG K-701's. The best all rounder.
'Lo All. It's been a while since I've been opinionated on Head-Fi. Just received my new K-701's. I dunno. Nothing really stands out about it. It's not as smooth or soothing as the HD-650, PS-1's are simply better for rock music period and the K-1000's certainly has more fidelity though...- KrooLism

Is there a plug in so that the new Archos and QW5 can support FLAC?
Am I dreaming or do these dream machines not support FLAC lossless????? Can't see it anywhere in the specs!!! The current contender for my new DAP (or PMP I should say) is the A2.- KrooLism

Old skool music discovery...
Mmmm... listening to HAU ROCK by KMFDM. Lossless FLAC - > DAC1 Better than average recording for industrial and certainly one of the most fun albums to listen to on a good set of cans. -
ER4P: Boring sound?
ER4 has to be equalised. They are actually capable of quite some bass if equalised properly. I have the 4S and you definitely need an amp. I've used the Aleph 3 to amp the 4S. 30 watts per channel for IEM's. Sounds delicious.- KrooLism

Anyone suggest a good way to rip vinyl into digital?
I've got a stack of vinyl I would like to rip into digital and then compress into lossless FLAC. Can anyone give any suggestions on what equipment they would recommend? Also ADC suggestions would be good.- KrooLism
