Hi Andrew, my apologies for such a late reply. I'm comparing the Watson to the iFi iCAN SE. From my experience the Watson is the 'fun' amp out of the two. The iCAN SE is very linear, neutral and I would say presents the music with very little to no colouration from source. Not quite analytical...

I have the same album but in DSD 128. Sometimes I get the hiccups and skips like you mentioned previously but its not track or file specific (I think). It's a bit annoying but I can live with it. I have many other 24/192 files on the X5 and they play fine.    Honestly I'm unsure what the issue...
