    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

Here's a short comparison based on my impression so far. Keep in mind I have the active 65t which should be the same driver as 65t, just higher waterproof rating of ipx56. Sound quality : 846/BT2 naturally wins without a doubt. BT2 also gives higher overall volume vs 65t. BT2 amp, IMO, is...

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

I personally don't like wire when I run and row. That's the main reason I bought my Jabra 65t and like it so much. Often I walk around the house and don't want to lug around my source, on top of my phone. When I am at my computer desk, it's either the big cans off the WA22 or 846 from Fiio X7...

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

For me, it's simple. I want the sound signature/quality of my SE846 but the convenience of wireless sometimes. Need? Heck no. Nobody needs a pair of SE846 either. :deadhorse: Btw, the amp is a tad of the warm side but not overwhelming.

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

My BT2 arrived this morning. Long story short, I now have a kick ass pair of Bluetooth IEMs. :L3000: After quite a few albums, I am pretty impressed with what I am hearing. The combo surely beats the crap out of my favorite Jabra Active 65t.

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

For my ears and preference, foam tips + blue filters = too bassy. I have finally found a combo that works magic to the SE846 and that is Spinfit cp240-M + blue filters; much more balanced sound signature.

Woo Audio WA22 Amp Owner Unite

"Great" sometimes could be subjective. I recently went to a Gumby Gen 5 for DAC and have been very satisfied with the purchase. The combo is very organic, analog...ish sounding. I have always run my WA22 with HD800. Couple times, I thought about selling HD800 and go for HD800S. However, I've...

    Focal Clear headphones

:L3000::L3000::L3000: That's how my head is like when listening to Z1R. I wasn't the one doing the shaking. Z1R did. Anyhow, refer to my above response to Hoegaardener70.

    Focal Clear headphones

I second the Atticus recommendation as a complement set. I personally prefer Atticus over Z1R, especially for the $. The look and design also go well against the Clear.

    Focal Clear headphones

If @Phronesis were looking for a pair to complement the Clear then Z1R could be a contender. My statement was purely based on his carefully auditioned preference of the Clear. Even if he's looking for a complement set, I believe there're other options as well. First came to mind was Fostex...

    FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out

On high gain, it would drive HD800 to acceptable volume...but that's really about it "acceptable volume" and nothing else IME. What you get with X7 MK 2 + HD800 combo won't be horrible but will be far far from even decent to good synergy. I did test this combo out just for kick. The HD800...

    Focal Utopia General Discussion

Another +1 for LQi. I bought a 2.5mm cable from Jason to run my Clear balanced from a DAP. Well made and very reasonable price. Buy with confidence.
