JBL Quantum 910 - Wired, Wireless, Bluetooth capable flagship gaming headset from JBL

Grabbed a pair of the 910's for 150$ through JBL as some kind of promotion and I am amazed at their performance. I've enjoyed a wide variety of headphones through the years ranging from my early steps into the audiophile space with Skullcandy, to the higher end of reference with the Sennheiser...

Songs that make your headphone WOOOOOW!!!

Seven Lions - Steps of Deep Slumber - YouTube Spacious. One word. For an electronically produced track it just sings to me. Small details that catch you off guard around every turn. Beautiful bass design, and flawless progression throughout the entire journey. Just a gorgeous track all around.

    Philips SHP9500 Discussion Thread

The high end on the 9500's.. It's hard to explain? I've never been one to really listen for it. It's definitely not harsh though. I'd almost say laid back and smooth? People are saying the cable causes some issue there though. Might try a new cable to see.

    Philips SHP9500 Discussion Thread

Just got my pair and out of the box I'm pleased.    I still can't grasp the definition of "bass light". The 9500's have tight, punchy bass that shines when it needs to. I don't see them as anemic at all.    They certainly aren't DT770's or XB500's, but not the bass I expected from the...

    "Muddy, Bass forward, consumer/DJ" Headphones

I disagree, I've used the M50/50x in live settings and I'm not a fan of them. Considering the M50's a "bass heavy" headphone is a bit much IMO. Personally the Pro700mk2 are the better DJ set from Audio Technica. The purpose of this thread was to discuss DJ application, and the niche that...

    "Muddy, Bass forward, consumer/DJ" Headphones

I see a ton of hate on headphones with a consumer driven, bass heavy SS, because of their bleed into the mid range. I think it's worth mentioning that some headphones NEED to sound that way. I've never been a bass head, and appreciate neutral sound signatures, but high threshold, bassy...

Honestly, they do the job they need to. That threshold was designed for DJ applications, specifically live set monitoring. In a situation like that, a large amount of bass bleed (Massive mid-bass hump) is necessary to properly sync tracks off hand.

Review by 'KodaO' on item 'Skullcandy Grind Headphone with Mic (Black and Gray)'

Huge thing to take into account here, I've noticed huge changes in SQ when running these through a higher quality source/DAC, which happens with a lot of phones, but still.   The Skullcandy Grind are a newer approach for SKDY than past headphones I've owned from the brand (Them being the Hesh...

Skullcandy Grind Headphone with Mic (Black and Gray)

The Grind headphone delivers everything you would expect from a premium headphone without the premium price tag: attacking bass, natural vocals, and precision highs through the powerful Rex40 driver. Full control of your music and calls with our unique TapTech feature and top of the line...

    Skullcandy Grind

I grabbed a pair recently to try them out, and they are now my go-to portables.    I've owned the Aviator's and Mix Master's from Skullcandy and while they were great headphones, they didn't compete well with other pairs in their price range. The Grind are definitely a different story. Fun...

    Infestation: Survivor Stories

I have since found many emulators of the game that are hack free and well worth playing.

Don't throw all SKDY out, all of the newer editions of the Skullcandy line are absolutely outstanding in terms of total value.   I've tried the DNA IEM's and can agree their low end is weak at best, but I own a pair of the Turbine Pro Coppers, and they don't have the bass I was expecting from...

    Biased Opinions aside... Skullcandy Question.

My DT770's get the most head time in my collection as well. But the MMM's are the best portable sub 200$ IMO

    Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm Thread

Had these for about three weeks. Powering them with a Fiio e07k. Absolutely the best EDM cans to date for me. The M100's were good, but the bass on the DT770's... WOW

    Infestation: Survivor Stories

I still think people are too harsh when looking at this game. It takes time to get used to, but it's a damn fun game when playing with a group of friends. Every time I get into a gun fight with other survivors, my heart races. Give it a chance, it can be really fun.
