I’ve had no issue with connections on my pair, so I’d say it’s unlucky if you receive a faulty pair. Get whichever your budget allows.

I have the Dekoni pads on the XM3 & am a big fan. Have actually replaced them once, due to wear & tear. Sounds the XM5 version pads are similar to the XM3.

Bought this exact cable, arrived yesterday. It joins into the IEM socket, without properly connecting, so it's very loose. Tried putting the IEM's into my ears a few times, sometimes it would stay connected, others not. So for me, it's a fail.

Well yeah, but these headphones are not designed with a use case in mind of sitting at a desk, connected to an amp. Ultimately, they are designed for people moving about, in noisy environments. It's a silly comparison.

It's a phrase. In other words, the 425's aren't a poor IEM.

The 425's are nothing to sneeze at.
