Just bought RX700's.. very dissapointed
The Dynamat mod helps a lot with cleaning the bass up and giving it more punch. I did that and the felt mod on my RX700s and they sound pretty good.- kniah

AD700s extremely uncomfortable
Keep an eye on Amazon if you're interested in the DT880s. I think the price fluctuates quite a bit. What's your source? Will the 250ohm model work or do you need 32ohm?- kniah

The Official Fiio E9 Thread with Video Unbox-Review
Quote: I'm not sure about the AKG, but the E9 would definitely drive the Beyer DT990 250ohm. I'm using the E9 with a pair of Beyer DT880 600ohm and barely have to turn the volume knob past 9 o'clock. Works great.- kniah

AD700s extremely uncomfortable
AyeVeeN- I tried the AD900 (similar to the AD700) and found them uncomfortable as well. Not only were the pads itchy, but the shallow pads led to my ears touching the drivers, which led to slight aching in my ears. I eventually returned the AD900s and picked up a pair of Beyer DT880s. What...- kniah

Monster Turbine Challenge - Reviewers Wanted!
I am new to Head-Fi and still in the first year of my audio journey. My journey started with a pair of JVC HA-RX700's that I modded based on TopPop's recommendations along with an X-Fi Fatal1ty that I modded with an LM4562 opamp. From there I transitioned to my current setup which consists of an...- kniah

Recommendations for budget all-around IEMs with good comfort and isolation?
Quote: Yes, the isolation will be really helpful actually. I share an office with 6 other grad students so it can get pretty distracting at times.- kniah

Recommendations for budget all-around IEMs with good comfort and isolation?
Hi All- I picked up a pair of Beyer DT880s a few months ago and am enjoying them immensely. Needless to say, the cheap headphones I use in the office and when traveling could use an upgrade. I'm looking for recommendations for good all-around IEMs (I listen to anything from rock, classical...- kniah

How Do I Properly Burn In DT990/600
I recently purchased and burned in a new pair of DT880/600. I created a playlist of all my tunes and played them randomly at slightly higher than listening volume for 4-5 hours at a time for a few days. Then I used the test tones at the following link overnight for a few nights at a medium...- kniah

Typical time to rip album in EAC using blowfish recommended settings
Thanks for the information and suggestions. I'll do more research next time when purchasing a new drive but this one works for now. I'm not in a particular hurry to rip the entire collection. Just curious if the time per disc was reasonable.- kniah
