It would be nice if they used this as a springboard to introduce a stat headphone that more people could afford.

    I think the LCD-4 being priced 2x the LCD-3 will help preserve the price of the LCD-3 not hurt it.  Presumably the 2x price tag is for massive improvement but either way it carves out a nice spot for the LCD-3 to remain in.  It also creates symmetry in the line for Audeze.  LCD-2>>LCD-3...

Yeah I can and did.  It's a good think they are NOT STOPPING ME from "contributing'".  I am one of the 10 King pre-orders @$2750, 1 or the additional contributors, owner of LCD-2, owner of LCD-3, and almost certainly a future owner of the LCD-4 . Nobody is stopping you from "contributing" either...

  The only reason to get the LCD4 would be if it kills the LCD3 and their other products.  All of the cost is in R&D and Manufacturing.  I don't know but maybe some big cost driver is associated with nano-manufacturing.  The new head band would me stylish and probably a more functional...
