HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread
I have been interested in audiofile headphones since first joining Head-Fi in 2005. Over the past two decades, like many Head-Fiers, I have bought, sold, and traded a number of products. My current collection includes: STAX SR404/SRM313, Senn HD650, Sony CD3000, AKG AK240DF, Westone W4, and now...- KenB

Westone 4 Impressions and Reviews Thread
I own the USA-6S.MKII and can report that is an excellent DAC/AMP. Previously, I had an iBasso D-Zero that was noisy (GSM, et al.) and encountered lots of unacceptable interference, especially using the USB connections. I got "zero" help from iBasso tech support. They continued to insist that...- KenB

Westone 4 Impressions and Reviews Thread
FWIW, I have a non-rooted Galaxy Note 2 and use mostly Pandora, Plex, and Winamp (Shoutcast radio) as players. I run the Westone 4's through a Leckerton UHA-6S.MKII (DAC/AMP) via USB audio connection on the Note 2.- KenB

That has certainly been my experience with the Comply P100's - excellent insertion, comfort, and fuller sound (deeper bass) than with any other tip I have tried.- KenB

Westone 4 Impressions and Reviews Thread
Quote: I am a huge fan of the Comply P100's (Med) which are deeper and provide outstanding penetration and sound. To keep them in nearly pristine condition, I clean my ear canals before insertion and it only takes a few seconds.I wet my pinkie fingers and gently moisten each canal...- KenB

New Leckerton UHA-6S MKII Portable Headphone Amplifier Announced (Update User Impressions Added July 20th 2012)
Quote: UPDATE: I sent an email to Nick Leckerton asking about optical audio processing with the UHA-6S.MKII. Below is his informative and enlightening response: "The UHA-6S.MKII does not decode compressed audio formats such as Dolby Digital. I think many TVs output this type of...- KenB

New Leckerton UHA-6S MKII Portable Headphone Amplifier Announced (Update User Impressions Added July 20th 2012)
Quote: Once I detected that it worked, I disconnected and didn't listen long enough to develop any impressions. For the few seconds that I had the headphones on, it sounded clear, but the channel was set to a morning "talk" show, which would not be the best test for SQ. I'll try again when...- KenB

New Leckerton UHA-6S MKII Portable Headphone Amplifier Announced (Update User Impressions Added July 20th 2012)
Quote: False alarm! I tried the same connection on a different HDTV using the attached soundbar's optical cable. It worked great! Clearly, there must be something wrong with other HDTV's optical port or the cable I used. Ken- KenB

New Leckerton UHA-6S MKII Portable Headphone Amplifier Announced (Update User Impressions Added July 20th 2012)
Quote: Well, tonight I tried to connect one of my HDTV's optical OUT to the Leckerton UHA-6S.MKII optical IN and could not get it to work. I switched the TV's audio signal to "External" vs. "TV Speakers," but there was no sound through the Leckerton's attached headphones. I then tried the...- KenB

New Leckerton UHA-6S MKII Portable Headphone Amplifier Announced (Update User Impressions Added July 20th 2012)
Quote: I was wondering if I could connect the optical out from a HDTV and then listen to the audio via headphones through the Leckerton. Similarly, under what circumstances would one ever use the COAX connection?- KenB

Intermittent USB Audio Interference on Galaxy Note2
Further Updates and Bizarre Occurrences: I recently decided to upgrade my iBasso D-Zero (For Sale) to a Leckerton UHA-6S.MKII primarily because of its better internal shielding design against interference of all types. I purchased a HakShop micro-to-micro USB cable to use with the...- KenB

Intermittent USB Audio Interference on Galaxy Note2
UPDATE: I just discovered that there is a setting in the Galaxy Note2's Advanced Wi-Fi to check for Wi-Fi availability when connected to Airplane Mode. So, there is no need any more for that Airplane Mode Wi-Fi app -- uninstalled! Ken- KenB
