thanks for the replies, i kept looking stuff up ad i ended up using a 12v 12Ahr lawnmower battery, its wired to a male plug for the amp and a female plug that is on the outside of the case for recharging.  I have used it for about 4-5 hours with ought a recharge of any kind and its still going...

I want to try my hand building a home server for fairly cheep.  My main goal is just play around with servers and get some hands on experience.  My girlfriend wants to use it  to host some web projects, so i figured kill 2 birds with one stone and have fun and learn a thing or 2 while doing it...

is there a digital out that has an audio plug? it doesnt have to be supper small or anything, its just that im trying to build a phone dock, and if the audio out was on the bottom it would be ok but i dont want a wire running out of the phone lol
