I experienced a similar issue with one of my Bottlehead amps, which I determined was due to its proximity to a wifi net extender. Is your setup near a router or extender by any chance? Joe.

Very nice! It's refreshing to see your thoughtful component selection and layout. I especially appreciate the fact your rig isn't stacked component on component like the Tower of Babel. Best, Joe.

Beautiful amp! Haven't seen or heard much from RSA in ages, which is a shame. Would've loved to see them incorporate a DAC into their portable amps. In fact, I've still got a lovely, little Tomahawk that was a constant travel companion for me for several years. And, is that a Moreplay I see...

    Loki Mini Impressions

That's a tough question to answer; there are simply too many variables to consider. There's system configuration, personal preference, individual tube characteristics ... I can share with you my own experience. I purchased to Loki specifically to tailor the sound of my ESP950s, and it has...

    Crack;Bottlehead OTL

Not surprising. There's not a lot of real estate inside the Crack envelope to accommodate them; they're large. Did you build a separate enclosure for them? Even with the extra room provided by BH on the Crack-a-two-a, I had to use my best packaging engineering skills. I did quite a bit of...

Looking for ( found )"end game" headphones in 2K ± price range.

I also own a pair of ZMF Auteurs in Teak. They sound exceptional with both the Mainline and the Crack-a-two-a (C2A). The Auteurs pair extremely well with the C2A, which is an OTL amp. As for the Clears, they've given me some goosebump moments during listening sessions with the Mainline...

I'm always amazed when I see expensive, high-quality components stacked one on top of the other, contributing to noise, interference and lack of heat dissipation. Separating components, as you have done, extends their lifespan and improves audio quality. And .... it's free!

Two transformative enhancements to the performance of the ESP-95X, from my perspective: -- Schiit Loki - The Loki allows modest but meaningful adjustment to the EQ of the ESPs. In my estimation, amongst the best $149 I've spent on audio. Four bands, at the right frequency breaks, good pots...

A couple images I made this afternoon of my Crack-a-two-a with the TwoQuiet upgrade installed. Best, Joe.

    Crack;Bottlehead OTL

Color Me Enamored I'm totally intoxicated by the sound of my recently completed Crack-a-two-a. There's an immediacy to the sound, which fosters a real emotional connection for me. I've rolled a couple tubes and settled -- for now -- on a mil-spec Sylvania JHS 6189-12AU7WA in the input-tube...
