Make sure you use the USB-C port close to the SPDIF output ("USB host"), not the one close to the DC plug (USB 3.0). Using it confuses the M17 -at least in my case- and battery can't be charged. I know that's not the issue you're having but it might be related. Currently using the M17 connected...

@Oscarilbo: It worked for me with the following DAC: iFi micro iDSD, Fostex HP-A8 and Advance Paris PX1, but: - the AP80 volume knob is affecting the signal loudness, so I guess it's not 100% "untouched"? - switching off the iFi iDSD first causes the AP80 to crash (no problem with the other DAC).
