Full-Sized Bass headphones??? HELP ME!!!!
I guess these are from a time when american headphones were going for bigger is better, and it seems the japanese manufacturers followed suit. there may be a better reason for that but either way it produced some pretty fun headphones. these for instance have two drivers in each earcup, a...- jmb777

Full-Sized Bass headphones??? HELP ME!!!!
take a look at these Sharp HP400H, if you can find a pair, and have an amp willing to dish out power to them, they're near impossible to beat for bass response. theres a lot of similar bass heavy vintage phones from around 20-30 years ago, finding them is the hardest part i guess, and...- jmb777

10 Biggest Lies in Audio (accidental repost - sorry!)
I would be more inclined to believe this article if it wasn't written in such a bad tone. it reminds of ramblings by ill-informed people giving their two cents on Atheism vs Creationism, the writer doesn't state anything new, he simply introduces a idea and then says "well that's not true, so...- jmb777

CES Days 2 and 3: Skullcandy. That's right...Skullcandy.
I think headphones like these will introduce audiophillia to many more teenagers who would otherwise struggle to find similar headphones, i.e. Shure. So they can fit in with Skullcandy styling whilst actually still getting pretty good audio, which will tempt them to move onwards and upwards...- jmb777

Why are brands like Beats and skullcandy so popular and widely regarded as the "best" headphones?
While it is annoying when literally an infinite amount of people ask what the hell Grado's are, i've got to say, that is one of the very things i enjoy about owning Grado's. Because they arent the average consumer choice, they are obscure and spark some peoples interest in them. The same goes...- jmb777

Quote: I don't dare to actually work that out, it's not very good i can tell you that much, especially here in UK just like our Grado's we also pay a premium for fuel, its not for the faint hearted when you go to the petrol station good fun though so it's all worth it- jmb777

Night club Audio
Does anyone else hate club audio setups? i was out last night and the club had a bose sytem, so i thought well at least they are willing to spend money even if they don't know what they're spending it on. but it just sounded terrible, they had clearly EQ'd the audio but only to eliminate the...- jmb777
