erix, as far as i know the d-50 (the first model - maybe it's call d-5 in the US) ís the only pcdp with an rca lineout. i guess it was never really intended for portable use anyways. these things should be pretty rare by now, they were introduced in 1986.

1. ooops, i got that wrong. if this is the original battery that came with the unit it surely is dead by now. i got 3 different bp-2ex and even a bp-100 and they're all dead. someone posted once that they can't be revived.

1. they're supposed to last between 2 and 3 hours. 2. this is exactly the behaviour i get from my d-25s if the battery is low. it starts spinning but then runs out of juice. did you check the power supply ?
